Requirements for people who are interested to follow the training seminar ‘Energetic examination to identify the simillimum’.

This course is especially addressed to classical homeopaths who have a scientific mind and are interested in research work, this because the energetic examination is very precise and doesn’t allow mistakes in execution.

One of the most important conditions is that, while applying the energetic examination, it is not allowed to wear metallic objects on the body (as zips, buttons, ect.). Also the presence of a mobile phone can easily disturb the examination.

If taking this and some other minor conditions into account one can do an energetic examination which will guarantee the finding of the simillimum.

Verifying homeopathic remedies clinically.

Dr Filip Degroote has a great desire to share his method of detecting energetic imbalance of the patient. By using this method he has described a precise clinical picture for a large number of remedies and - once a remedy has been selected - his method also includes an examination of the patient to energetically verify the remedy before it is given. His publication ‘Physical Examination and Observations in Homoeopathy’ (1992) is still highly relevant and he has added many more energetic remedy pictures to this work since. In his book, he dedicates his work to the late Dr Albert Pladys, who was the founder of the work.

Since Homeopathy treats an energetic disturbance of the body with energy correcting medicine, it makes sense to use oriental medicine (acupuncture theory) to diagnose the energetic imbalances in the physical body. Dr Degroote has spent the last 30 years creating and proving this in his clinical practice. He works tirelessly to observe and document energetic remedy pictures in his patients. His reputation for superb results in his patients is growing, and this is what lured me from New Zealand to visit him in Belgium. He relates that in his practice, he has seen only a few cases of cancer in the last 20yrs and very little serious degenerative disease. His excellent results have convinced him that he needs to teach the method to more homeopaths.

What is the difference between a classical homoeopath and an energetically schooled classical homoeopath?

The classical homoeopath:

Interviews and observes the body language and external characteristics, and evaluates the information which leads to a prescription. There is no immediate certainty that this prescription is the simillimum of the patient. Next there is waiting and watching for the reactions of the patient. If the patient reacts insufficiently or not at all, the homoeopath then goes on to another potency of the same remedy, or a different remedy.

The energetically schooled classical homoeopath:

Interviews and observes the body language, external characteristics, and then evaluates the information. The energetic examination follows which is used to identify the simillimum out of the selected remedies and to verify it. There is thus 100certainty. During the energetic examination the homeopath also notes other energetic phenomena, such as:

(1) which physical or energetic layer should be treated first

(2) which “blockage” (described below) may be preventing the action of the selected remedy even when it is the correct remedy

Blockages may be due to:

(1) switching, (breakdown in communications between both cerebral hemispheres) by which the prescribed simillimum sometimes cannot start to work

(2) a classic nosode which balances the ancestral energy and makes the prescribed remedy work on deeper levels

(3) trauma such as emotional, physical or vaccination

(4) isopathic nosodes such as viruses, bacteria and fungi

(5) structural imbalance such as subluxations and fixations of the spine (which Dr Degroote corrects himself)

(6) severe nutritional deficiencies

(7) electromagnetic disturbances within the patient

All these can be tested for very quickly, and treatment type prioritised. When these blockages are recognized and rectified, the correct prescription works directly and much deeper.

Dr. Filip Degroote asserts that the interaction of the simillimum with the patient often transiently brings an ancestral energetic layer to the surface. He then treats the ancestral layer (classic nosode) at precisely the same time as administering the individual simillimum and this brings on an accelerated action and greater profundity of the simillimum. He sees that there are two layers of disturbance; one being the individual disturbance and the other being ancestral energetic disturbance which is covered by the nosodes.

I observed Filip in his clinic for two days following the seminar. He was busy, with full on back-to-back patient arrival for the two days from 7am until 7pm with one hour for lunch. Most patients came with their dreams written down and knew not to wear any metal (this can affect energetic testing and make it unreliable). With regard to the dreams, Filip has recorded some 150.000 dreams over the years and continues to do so. He has provided a repertory of these through the “Radar” homeopathic software.

Following the initial interview and repertorisation there is a short list of remedies to test. Then there is the examination which tests for meridian or energy imbalances via an indicator muscle, usually either the deltoid or the serratus anterior. Once some muscles are found to be testing weak a muscle repertory is consulted to give clues for the possible remedy. For each remedy there is a set of muscles that will test weak, or some meridian points that can be located and tested, or one can make a circuit with the patient to uncover a muscle test weakness. Thus there are many ways to verify a remedy. When the remedy is identified it is placed on the outside of the patient’s body (still in its bottle), and all the previously weak points should test strong if it is the correct remedy. Supposing the weak points are all strong. The next step is to do a small change in the patient’s hand shape and have them close their eyes to see if the muscle test remains strong. If it is not, then a nosode is indicated as a co-prescription. There are very quick ways to test which nosode to prescribe and it is placed on the outside of the patient’s body with the simillimum and tested again with the patient’s eyes closed. If both remedies are needed in combination then this should remain strong. And both remedies (the individual simillimum and the nosode) are given at once.

It is possible for Filip to find a simillimum in 5 minutes for some patients. I have done this myself once or twice since the course and the ease of finding the simillimum is unbelievable.

Anyone considering attending the seminar should first learn “touch for health” and muscle testing. Knowledge of meridians and energy flow patterns, and the testing for each muscle that one learns in “touch for health” is a huge advantage. I know I would have been lost without this prior knowledge.

Filip Degroote’s testing system also quickly differentiates between animal/mineral and plant remedy. This is extremely useful. I have had a major learning curve on the families of remedies and also new remedies as he has a huge range of all the most recently proved ones worldwide.

Filip Degroote is doing a mammoth work and his notes are very comprehensive. Since returning I have arranged them into simple format, and added colour codings and photographs of certain tests. I am putting it into practice. I would like to have experience with more cases to fully evaluate its effectiveness for me but I am already very pleased with the results.

Filip Degroote is a master and his reputation in Belgium speaks for itself. He is a most genuine homeopath with a vast knowledge and experience and is very keen to give of himself and to share of his knowledge. His hospitality was very generous. He took time to show us the local area and also to answer a never ending stream of questions.
